5 Ways to Stay Hydrated During Your Next Vacation

With summer winding down, it’s time to take advantage of the season before it’s too late! Whether you’re traveling via plane, bus or car, having fun in the sun or rocking the slopes, maintaining healthy habits while on vacation is essential to making your next trip the best one yet. Check out our tips to help you stay hydrated during your next vacation so you can leave dehydration in the rear-view mirror.

Consume hydrating food and drinks

While traveling, it’s important to pack water-rich foods that can help you stay hydrated throughout your vacation. Many fruits and vegetables are full of water, making them the perfect choice for a vacation snack. Eating foods like berries, watermelon, oranges, lettuce, bell peppers and zucchini will help you feel energized and ready for a great time. In contrast, sugary drinks and salty foods work against your hydration levels, making you thirsty.

Bring an empty water bottle

If you don’t have a reusable water bottle, you should invest in one before your next vacation. An empty water bottle can make your traveling experience much easier and help prevent dehydration. We recommend bringing a two-gallon fridge dispenser of Absopure Natural Spring Water during your next trip. The easy to pour spout will make refilling your reusable water bottle simple and quick.

Increase daily water consumption

It’s essential to start and end your day with water. Drinking as much as possible in the days leading up to and during your trip can help you avoid illnesses and keep you energized. Try drinking a bottle of Absopure Purified Drinking Water when you wake up and another before bed – the equivalent of roughly two cups of water. And, if you’re looking for a to-go bottle that’s easy to carry, bring along a case of Absopure Packables™! They are the perfect size for traveling, especially with your little ones.

Limit alcohol consumption

While on vacation, it can be easy to drink too much alcohol, especially when offered a variety of delicious options. Unfortunately, consuming high levels of alcohol without water can quickly lead to dehydration. Balancing alcoholic drinks with hydrating beverages is key to maintaining a fun-filled vacation. Already on your way to a party? Bring along a bottle of AmplipHy Alkaline Water. It’s a great way to stay refreshed and ready for fun!

Avoid overheating during the day

Spending hours at the beach or in other warm areas can cause your body to produce sweat. This loss of water helps regulate your core temperature, but at the same time, it increases your risk of dehydration. Make sure to bring plenty of fresh, cold water while spending your day in the sun, or limit the amount of time you spend outdoors. If you run out of water, finding a shady spot under a tree or taking the time to relax in front of an air conditioner is a great alternative to keep your body cool and hydration levels high.
