10 Homemade Beverages to Sip on This Summer

Now that summer is here, it’s time to have a little fun in the sun! Whether you enjoy sun bathing at the beach, hosting backyard barbecues or chilling by the pool, there’s nothing more refreshing than sipping on an ice-cold beverage to beat the heat. So, in the spirit of summer, here are 10 homemade beverages that are sure to tingle your taste buds.

Classic Lemonade
The perfect combination of sweet and sour, lemonade is a classic summertime beverage enjoyed by all. Instead of purchasing store-bought lemonade this summer, add these simple ingredients to your grocery list: a one-gallon jug of Absopure’s All Natural Spring Water, five lemons and a little sugar. Calling for two bottles of sparkling water, Absopure’s Cap10 All Natural Sparkling Mineral Water comes in eight different varieties and is the perfect way to add an extra boost of flavor to this already tangy treat.

Iced Tea
Iced tea is another summertime classic. Whether you enjoy your tea sweet or fruity, there are plenty of iced tea recipes to satisfy your cravings. All you need is water and your favorite blend of tea to make the perfect glass. You can also use Keurig® Iced Tea K-Cups. Or, add a douse of lemonade and turn it into an Arnold Palmer.

Watermelon Breeze
If you like watermelon, then you’ll love this Watermelon Breeze recipe. With a hint of coconut and a squeeze of lime, one sip is like a slice of paradise.

Smoothies
Packed with vitamins and antioxidants, fruit smoothies are a healthy way to cool down on a hot summer day. And the best thing about smoothies is that there is no wrong way to make them. Simply choose your favorite fruits (and/or vegetables), add some yogurt and maybe even some oatmeal, flaxseed or almonds for texture, ice and voila!

Cucumber lemon water
If you don’t prefer the taste of plain water, adding lemon, cucumber and mint is a refreshing and healthy way to add some flavor to your glass. Simply cut lemons and cucumbers into thin slices, put them into a pitcher of water and chill until cold. When you’re ready to enjoy a cool and refreshing glass of your cucumber-lemon water, pour into your favorite glass and garnish with spearmint.

Raspberry Italian Soda
Made with sparkling water and flavored syrup, this Raspberry-Basil Italian Cream Soda recipe from Daisy’s World is the perfect bubbly beverage to enjoy on a hot summer day. If you don’t prefer the taste of raspberry, there are a variety of syrups you can substitute, ranging from amaretto to vanilla.

French Soda
If you like the taste of Italian soda, then you’ll enjoy the silky smooth and creamy taste of French soda. Similar to Italian soda, French soda is made with sparkling water, flavored syrup and half and half.

Iced Coffee
While there are many other cool and refreshing beverages to enjoy on a hot summer day, iced coffee is the perfect summertime pick-me-up. Whether you double-brew a pot of coffee or choose your favorite Keurig Brew Over Ice K-Cup® flavor, there are a variety of ways to brew the perfect cup of iced mocha.
