Absopure Contributes to Successful THAW Radiothon Sponsored by WWJ Newsradio 950

There are a few more heated homes in southeast Michigan this frigid winter season thanks to the generosity of some local patrons and businesses.

The 10th Annual Winter Survival Radiothon, sponsored by WWJ Newsradio 950, was held on February 1 at Art Van Furniture in Warren to support The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW). Absopure chipped in by donating 500 bottles of water to the radiothon volunteers, which ended up raising a total of $325,000 for the charity. THAW provides financial assistance for low-income families and individuals who cannot pay their energy bills.

THAW CEO Susan Sherer said the event, which featured a pair of live WWJ broadcasts, went off without a hitch.

“Thank you so much to Absopure for their generous donation to our annual Radiothon,” Sherer said. “We truly appreciate the generosity of companies, like Absopure, in helping us make sure that our countless volunteers are provided with the resources they need at Radiothon to make it a real success.”
