4 Pure Michigan Things to Do This Fall

Here’s a refreshing thought—it’s fall! While your days of soaking up the summer sun are coming to a close, there are plenty of ways for your family to get out and have some fun this fall.

It’s no secret our state boasts some of the best summer vacation spots in the country, but there’s something about the fall that brings out the best of Michigan. So, now is the time to get up and enjoy the natural beauty of our great state. To help you do that, we’re showcasing some suggestions from our partners at Pure Michigan. Savor the season by taking part in these Pure Michigan fall activities!

Mill it over
Celebrate Michigan’s agricultural roots with a trip to one of our state’s many mills and farms. No Pure Michigan fall bucket list is complete without dressing up in a warm sweater and enjoying crisp apple cider and fresh donuts at the mill, or hitching a hayride through a local farm. There’s plenty of fresh produce to enjoy and pumpkins to pick. Find a farm, orchard or cider mill near you by clicking here!

Tour de colors
The months of September and October are like a natural fashion show for the state of Michigan. From the U.P. to the southern border, the landscape explodes with brilliant flashes of yellows, browns, reds and greens as the foliage fades into the winter months. Michigan features some of the most beautiful views for enjoying the fall colors. See where you can take in the sites and when the colors are at their most vibrant right here!

Horse around
One of the best ways to enjoy the natural beauty of Michigan is to saddle up and ride. Whether it’s a horse-drawn carriage tour through the charming small towns of Mid-Michigan, or a mounted adventure through the trails and streams of our state parks, an equestrian tour will surely be unforgettable.

Take the road less traveled
If you prefer riding on wheels, Michigan also has some of the best off-road trails for all-terrain vehicles. Take an adventure through the changing foliage as you enjoy the over 3,100 miles of scenic ORV trails our state has to offer. Before you load up your gear and hitch it to the truck, head over to the Pure Michigan website to plan your off-road adventure.

Fall is beautiful in Michigan, but it’s also fleeting. Make sure you get out there and enjoy these fun activities before it’s too late. And, don’t forget to mark these family-friendly fall activities on your event calendar, too! Wherever your travels take you this fall, be sure to take a bottle of Absopure water along with you. We’ll be there to keep you and your family refreshed as you enjoy all that fall has to offer.
